Don passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on 07-20-2023. Don was born on 09-23-1935 to Mary and Elmer Laschansky and was preceded in death by his son, Michael, his parents and sisters; Beverly, Jeannine and Gloria and loving in-laws; George and Faye Eickholt. Don was a loving and devoted husband and is survived by his wife of 68 years, Roberta (Betty) Faye Laschansky. Also survived by his sister; Audrey, sons Steven (Sandy) Laschansky, Greg (Annette) Laschansky and daughter, Jean (John) Nelson; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Becky) Laschansky, David (Hannah) Laschansky, Daniel Laschansky, Sara (Cody) Sveiven, Molly Laschansky, Justin Nelson and Jenae Nelson; great grandchildren; Madison Laschansky, Gwendolyn Sveiven, Leo Sveiven and Coen Sveiven; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Don graduated from St. Thomas Academy and attended St. Thomas College. He was honorably discharged from the Army after serving time in Korea. He had a long career working in sales and management. He traveled the world. He loved golfing, gardening, cooking, boating, construction projects and playing bridge to name a few interests. He loved the Brightwood cabin.  Most of all he loved being with his family and friends. Don would talk to anyone and loved to hear people’s stories. He also loved to tell his own stories! Some would call him “spicy” but most would say he was a kind and sensitive soul who loved to laugh.

Don was a long time member of The Church of Epiphany.
