Welder Job Type : Full-time Reports to : Operation Director Description Responsible for the set-up and operation of welding machines, applications by performing and following duties. Safety: Assure that work practices are in the guidelines of OSHA standards Welders are required to wear safety glasses, safety toed shoes Key Responsibilities Sets up and operates gas welding machine to weld metal parts according to work orders, blueprint layouts and verbal instructions. Regulates flow of gases for proper mixture. Maintains accurate record keeping of settings from precision control panel or power packs for repeat applications. Cleans parts to remover contamination prior to welding. Sets up and operates all phases of applications using clamps, fixtures, and torches working to specified tolerances. Selects proper welding wire, rod, flux, etc. Sets up and operates MIG/TIG welding machines to repair, join, or fabricate parts working with blueprints, sketches or verbal orders. Uses inspections gages such as venires, scales, micrometers, and pin gages Follows blueprints to meet product specifications and maintain tight tolerances. Changes weld cups, electrodes and any other tooling to maintain quality and production standards, Recommends tooling needs to save time. Reports productions discrepancies to management. Maintains tools, gages, and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe manner. Complies with company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations. Assembler Job Type : Full-time Reports to : Production Manager Description This position is responsible for assembling machinery, sub-assemblies or mixing lapping compound as instructed. Should be able to read a blueprint and follow a build instruction. Operation may include any of the following machines: drill press, sander, cutoff wheel, hand drill, overhead hoist, hydraulic press, hand press, voltmeter, program loader, laptop, large mixers, forklift, pallet jack, nail gun, as well as other hand tools. Key Responsibilities Assembly parts according to a blueprint or set of work instructions using the necessary tools. Tools will be provided. Work independently and be able to follow multiple steps (may be up to 50 or more) to complete an assembly. Learn multiple different assemblies and be willing to move where needed based on work needed at the time. Run a mixer and follow a recipe to mix lapping compound. Report all safety concerns. Act in a safe manor and help maintain OSHA safety standards. Constantly look for ways that the area can be run more effective and report these to the supervisor. Log in all work into the Work Order/Inventory control software. Keep area and machines clean per the 5 S and lean principals. Parts to be neatly stacked, labeled, counted and in correct area. All scrap properly disposed of. All parts must have Part number attached and traveler/work order on or near parts until fully completed. Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Be able to lift a 50 lbs.
